Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Lizzie woke up at dawn. She was too excited to sleep. Normally Saturdays were her sleep in day, but today was special. Today was her mommy’s birthday. Her daddy was going to be so proud of her as he didn’t have to tell her to wake up, to not sleep the day away. Today she was a big girl, able to do for herself. She was now 8 years old, no longer a baby, daddy told her so. With that in mind, she was going to dress herself and do her own hair. Even though Lizzie had not seen her mommy in a long time, she could still remember how beautiful she was. She remembered how her mommy smelled, always of vanilla.

The Darkness How did she get here, teetering on the edge of the cliff? She didn’t know how she got here, this ledge, this moment in time. She just stood there. Her dress, dark like her mood, bellowed around her as the wind started to pick up. She was dressed as if she came from a funeral. Paradise As sunset slowly approached, she sat, reflecting on the beautiful paradise she had called her life. She lifted her pale face to bask in the final rays of light that bore down upon her. The slight breeze in the air swayed her wispy hair around her hollow face. She gently cradled the neck of her companion, affectionately stroking it’s smooth curvature. She lay down in the cushioned grass that blanketed her and allowed herself the luxury to feel. Her life was a marvel, full of rainbows and butterflies, carefree and alive with color. Welcome to my stock
